This self-guided online course is designed to provide an overview of the ACA Accreditation Process.
Every camp being visited in 2023 must have at least one person who completes this online course on behalf of the camp; that person must actively assist in preparation for the accreditation visit, be engaged in on-site operations during the camp season, and participate fully in the on-site accreditation visit. In order for camps to receive an accreditation visit in 2023, this course must be completed no later than March 31, 2023.

This is a self-guided online course
to be completed by all current ACA accreditation volunteers
(trainers, instructors, visitors). For anyone planning to
volunteer in 2023, please complete this update no
later than March 10, 2023.
Volunteers will get a refresher on a variety of topics and issues they face in their accreditation volunteer roles. Participants will build confidence in reviewing Annual Accreditation Reports, and Written Documentation Reports, making compliance decisions on standards, gain insight on improvements to the accreditation process, and be an effective mentor for accreditation. They will know where to find and how to use information, resources, and technology provided by ACA with emphasis on effective use of the visitor portal.
